On the HOME page, you can find in this order:
- A search bar
- The front page with the title of the blog
- A box to choose the language of the blog content
- A bar to enter your email address and subscribe to the blog
- A box with direct access to each of the latest entries in both English and Spanish
About the LANGUAGES of the blog:
These are Spanish and British English. My mother tongue is Spanish, so I apologise in advance to those who access the blog in English if there are any errors in the wording of the text. First I write each entry in Spanish and then I translate it using my knowledge of English (C1), as well as relying on and correcting errors with a web translator (Deepl).
On absolutely all the pages and entries of the blog, at the bottom you can see a box to change the reading language.
About SUBSCRIPTION to the blog:
Subscribing to the blog is optional. The advantage is that you will receive a notification to the email address you provide, which will let you know when there is a new entry published. You have to know that once you write your email in the subscription bar and send it, you will have to confirm the subscription in the confirmation email that the web automatically sends you.
If you see that you are not receiving the notification emails when I publish new entries, it could be that you are receiving them in your Spam mailbox. This can happen.
About the box in which LAST ENTRIES are displayed:
This box only shows the latest published entries, in both languages each. These are not all the entries in the blog. To discover them you will have to go deeper into the web by accessing the Library once you select the language on the Home page.
I try to publish one entry in both languages every two weeks, that is, 2 entries in English and in Spanish every month. The frequency may vary more or less often. It all depends on the free time I have and my mood.
About THE ENTRIES:
Each entry is a review of a reading. The structure of each is similar and usually follows this order:
- Technical details of the book with photos of the front and back covers
- Brief information about the author with a list of his other works if relevant
- Review of the book, interspersing quotes that I liked or that are relevant to that part of the review. I don’t like to spoil books, so you won’t usually find spoilers.
- Questions to think about, latest entries box, blog subscription bar, space to write comments and give likes, category, tags…
About THE COMMENTS:
If you leave a comment on an entry, please be aware that you will not see it published on the entry until I approve it. I make this filter to block disrespectful and inappropriate comments.
About CONTACT ME:
After selecting the language on the Home page, if you click on Information about me, you will be taken to a part of the blog where there is a contact form through which I will receive your messages. I will only answer messages that are book recommendations or requests for book recommendations, doubts about the functioning and structure of the blog… I will probably avoid answering messages of a more personal nature as I would like to focus this website solely and exclusively on literature.
Finally on the organisation of THE LIBRARY:
The library will expand and branch out as I publish more entries, but this is the outline it would follow:
